Microsoft sirketi bulut bilisim fiyatlarini Amazon fiyatlariyle eslestirme sozu verdi.

16 Nisan itibariyla yeni bulut bilisim hizmetlerini piyasaya suren Microsoft sirketi, buyuyen pazarda kendisine yeni is olanaklari yaratmak amaciyla Amazon’la esdegerli urunlerinin fiyatlarini Amazon’ un fiyatlari duzeyine cekecegini duyurdu.

Microsoft sirketinin 9 aydir deneme asamasinda olan Windows Azure Altyapi hizmetleri sayesinde, Microsoft kullanicilari mevcut ve halihazirda kullandiklari yazilim paketlerini artik Microsoft’ un veri merkezlerindeki depolama makinalarinda ve sunucularinda calistirabilecek. Windows Azure is stratejisi yoneticisi Steven Martin’ in soyledigine gore  sirket, Pazar lideri durumunda olan Amazon sirketinin fiyatlariyla yarisacak, Amazon fiyatlarinda indirime gittiginde Microsoft’ da bu indirimleri uygulayacak.

Kamuoyu yoklamasi sirketi Forrester Research’ un yaptigi bir anketi yanitlayan katilimcilarin yuzde 71’ i Amazon Web Hizmetleri’ ni kullaniyor. Microsoft, Google ve diger bulut bilisim sirketlerini kullananlarin yuzdesi ise herbiri icin %10 oraninda. Dunyanin en buyuk Teknoloji arastirma sirketi olan Gartner’ in  yaptigi arastirmaya gore, kamu bulut bilisim hizmetlerinden gelen gelir, gecen yil %20 oraninda artis gostererek 109 bilyon dolara ulasti.

Dunyanin en buyuk yazilim yapimci sirketi olan Washington merkezli Microsoft Redmond sirketi Windows Azure bulut bilisim urunlerini kullanan 200.000 musterisi oldugunu, ve bu miktara hergun 1.000 civarinda yeni kullanicinin katildigini soyledi.



Microsoft Azure Public Cloud Matches Amazon Prices

Microsoft announced Tuesday that it is making infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) generally available from its Windows Azure Cloud after several months of beta testing.

And it's committed to match Amazon Web Services in current pricing and future price reductions, said Bill Hilf, general manager for Windows Azure product marketing in an interview that preceded the announcement. Until now, Azure has been primarily a developer's cloud, a form of platform-as-a-service, where software could be developed with shared tools made available on a specific, .Net-supporting platform.

"We've been focused on platform-as-a-service. That's how we originated," said Hilf, harking back to Azure's launch in February 2010 as a commercially available PaaS. But now Azure's value to the enterprise will change as it offers IaaS, infrastructure that is compatible with many Microsoft technologies already in the data center.
