Google Cloud Platform sails into new horizons




On Thursday, September 29, 2016 Google has annouced that "Google Cloud Platform sets a course for new horizons".

 Google made the move to bring new capabilities to new regions, environments, applications and users to power business around the world.

In order to efficiently serve to one billion users-base worldwide, Google has declared the locations of 8 new Google cloud regions. The regions are set as Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, North Virginia, São Paulo, London, Finland and Frankfurt.

There will be more regions to follow next year. Google's new regions will be available to public in 2017 and is set to improve performance and latency for Google customers.

Applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) benefit from a great infrastructure, the open source container management system. Google customers will be able to build applications that can easily span multiple clouds, whether they are on-prem, on a different public cloud vendor, or a hybrid of both.

Google' announcement includes the introduction of new updates to their data analytics and machine learning portfolio on Google BigQuery and Cloud Machine Learning.
